Round 5 of the Beko Netball League saw the Hellers Mainland team playing WBOP in Rotorua on Sunday 10 June at Rotorua Girls’ High School, having played each other just seven days earlier in Ashburton, where the Hellers Mainland team came out the winners.

This time, WBOP turned the tables on the Mainland side, winning 66 to 50.

The WBOP got away to a flying start in the first quarter, which apart from the third quarter, they maintained throughout the match.

Labouring under management of a number of player injuries, and replacement players called into the Silvermoon Tactix team, the Hellers Mainland team struggled for continuity on attack and played ‘catch up’ netball all game.

Hellers Mainland’s next game is against the Comets at the Lincoln Events Centre in Lincoln (Canterbury) on Sunday 17 June at 1.00 p.m. – get along and cheer on our team!
