  • When the teams last met in Round 11 the Steel defeated the Tactix 59-56 in Invercargill.
  • The Steel and Tactix have met in six ANZ Premiership matches and the Steel has won five and the Tactix one.
  • The Tactix only win over the Steel came in Round 8 this season, with a 53-52 win in Dunedin.

  • The Steel in coming off a 59-65 loss to the Stars in Auckland in Round 13.
  • The Steel will contest their second consecutive ANZ Premiership finals series after claiming the inaugural title against the Pulse last season.
  • Steel shooter Jennifer O’Connell missed her teams Round 13 loss to the Stars with a burst ear drum. O’Connell has shot 485 goals at 84.6% accuracy including two scores of 50-goals or more in 2018.
  • The Steel has a perfect 10 from 10 record on their home court in Invercargill in the ANZ Premiership. The Steel’s last four wins in Invercargill have been by margins of 4, 2, 4 and 3.
  • The Steel has the best attacking record in the competition scoring 58.3 goals per match while they have the fourth best defensive record conceding 57.7 goals per match.
  • The Tactix have won all three first quarters in the three meetings between the teams this season while the Steel has won two of the three fourth quarters.
  • Tactix shooter Elle Bird shot 54/61 at 89% against the Magic in Round 13 which her is her highest score in the ANZ Premiership beating her 45/51 against the Stars in Round 7.
