The Hellers Mainland team took on the Northern Comets on Sunday 20 May, at the High Wire Trust Gym in Papakura, Auckland.

Dogged defence from both teams, Lily Marshall and Sophia Fenwick for the Hellers Mainland team picked up a steady supply of ball, put pressure on the respective shooting ends.   However, outstanding shooting accuracy from Comets GS Ivana Rowland (91%) ably supported up by GA Filda Vui (80%) saw the Northern Comets come through to take the win by 54 to 49.

In what was a closely fought encounter, errors at critical times and missed opportunities meant the Hellers Mainland team spent much of the match playing ‘catch up’ Netball.   With the scores locked up at 49 all with three minutes to go, errors from the Hellers Mainland team saw the Comets come away to take the win.
