Netball Mainland is pleased to announce the appointment of its coaches for the 2020 National Netball League.

Assistant coach of Hellers Mainland for the past two seasons, Andrea Cousins has been promoted into the head coach role.

Andrea brings plenty of experience having plied her trade as premier coach of Technical Club in the Christchurch competition, as well as head coach of the Christchurch U19 side this year.

“I can’t wait to be able to lead a group of athletes to reach their potential, the National Netball League competition is a key pathway for netballers in the Mainland Zone. I am excited and privileged to be given this opportunity,” she said.

Jess Huia has been named as assistant coach, returning to Mainland after four years in the South Zone.

Jess was apprentice coach for the Southern Steel last season, and this year has been head coach of the Invercargill U19 and Aotearoa Maori Secondary Schools teams.

Toni Torepe has also been reappointed as team manager for her third year in the role.

Netball Mainland is excited with the appointments and look forward to seeing the development of the management team over the season.
