Te Wānanga o Raukawa provided the final testing ground for all ANZ Premiership Netball teams when they hosted the third edition of the ANZ Premiership pre-season netball tournament in Ōtaki on February 8 – 10.

Featuring an extended programme in 2019, which involved 11 games over three days, the tournament has become a popular event with the teams, and took on extra significance this year due to the early start to the season because of July’s Netball World Cup.

The Good Oil Tactix completed their dress rehearsal for the 2019 ANZ Premiership season at the pre-season event.

The Tactix had some good results and the tournament was a prime opportunity to give court time to all players in the squad and for newcomers to impress.

“The tournament was extremely worthwhile, allowing us to test out a variety of combinations ahead of our first game of the ANZ Premiership in just two weeks-time” said The Good Oil Tactix Head Coach Marianne Delaney-Hoshek.
